House facilities and household equipment

• Satellite TV, DVD-player, radio/CD-player.
• The direct phone line and intercity access, Internet (except of Tradition).
• Self-contained gas heating (in Tradition – electric radiators).
• Burglar alarm, personal safes.
• For cleaning and laundry: a vacuum cleaner, washing machine, iron, ironing board, horse.
• For your convenience: a hairdryer, bathrobes and bath sheets in houses with sauna, beach towels and coverlets, rain umbrellas.
• Garden furniture – tables, chairs, chaise longues, sun umbrellas, BBQ.

Kitchen is important
Every house has a kitchen equipped with necessary household devices and ware for you to be able to cook breakfast or lunch on your own liking using cheap and fresh local products on vacation. Variety and quality of cookery and dainties in department stores in Jurmala and Riga will surprise even the most tempted foodies. It will not be difficult to serve cold collation or warm up first course even if you do not want to cook yourself. In your kitchen you will find:

Capacious two-compartment fridge, 4-burner stove, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster, ware and place setting kit for appropriate number of guests.

Location

Jurmala is a unique city with extraordinary geography formed, on the one side, by the coastline of the Gulf of Riga and - on the other side - by the bed of the Lielupe river. For a long time the city has been a resort center of attraction in marvelouse place where the river ends its luxurious curve and begins moving off the sea. This is the region of the famous Jomas footpath which runs in parallel with the beach line between Dzintari and Majori stations. Liena Cottages guest house is located just in this region on the streets Lienes and Victorijas, a few steps away from the most popular city sites. On the distance of walk – DZINTARI Concert Hall, restaurants and cafes, tennis courts, large SPA hotels with swimming pools and beauty salons, shops and souvenir stores, and Jurmala's night life. 5 minutes drive – and you get to the LIVU Aqua Park, market and shopping mall. At the same time you can get to the Riga center by your own or rented car just in half an hour. The most popular public transport is a taxi bus; it stops practically near your house. For the fans of country exotics there still are suburban trains running to the central railway station; Dzintari station is not far from the house.

You can order a cab to travel around Jurmala or go to Riga by phone; you will have all necessary numbers at hand. At weekends you can travel to Riga by a pleasure motor-ship mooring at Majori station.

And the most important thing - where is the sea? 5-7 minutes of slow walk along Turaides street past a famous Globus - and you are on the Dzintari beach.

How to get to Liena Cottages?

From the direction of Riga or Riga airport (located on a half-way between the centres of both cities) before entering Jurmala there is a check-point near the police station ahead of the bridge over the Lielupe river. If you are driving your own car you should stop and pay for an entrance ticket, it costs 1 Ls. Jurmala is an ecologically clean city and these funds are spent to maintain its cleanness.

Then you will cross the Lielupe river over the bridge, on the right hand you will see the Aqua Park colored tubes and behind it – the RIMI foodstore. Opposite the foodstore you will stop at the traffic lights, then right away you will drive through another traffic lights. In about 3 kilometers far from the city entrance you will find the third traffic lights, it is located on the crossroads of Lienes abd Turajdes streets. Further on:

• If you are going to Prestige or Comfort cottages, take left turn at the traffic lights and stop respectively at the first or second wicket of the yellow fence.
• If you are going to the Romance cottage, drive past a traffic lights and turn round in the reverse direction when the road striping will allow doing it. Park by the gates of the one-storey house behind the yellow fence on your right hand.
• If you are going to Tradition, after the crossroads skip one street to the right and take the next right turn nera the high grey house with towers. You are now on Viktorijas street, drive a bit ahead and stop near the green 2 storey house with the terrace on your left hand.

• The families with children are welcome! There is everything you need for a vacation of the whole family, and we are ready to recommend you where you can go together to get the best impressions.
  
• You will easily get your bearings on the site with the help of our mini-guidebook which you can find in the cottage. However, please settle such important things as the car rent, tickets for actions or trips around country beforehand. At the peak of the season you can miss a chance to get something on time.  

• We are sorry, no smoking in our cottages! There are ash-trays but you can use them only in the garden outdoors. You should also be informed that since this year you will be kindly asked to put out a cigarette in all public places of Jurmala.

• Please take our apologies, but we can not accommodate guests with domestic animals. Even for the extra fee.
